The Durability of a Stone Wall
A house is a necessity for all. It is use to shelter a person from the harsh weather around him. A house is a place where an individual can feel protected and safe. That is why; whatever status a person has he strives to have his own place. It does not matter if it is made of sticks, wood, or bricks as long as he has something to call his own home. Houses are built differently, around the world we can see the different design and materials that a house might be built, depending on its location. In Asia, most houses are made of light materials such as, weeds, bamboo, and wood. Even in places where it can get cold depending on the time of year these materials are used. An example of these light materials can be seen on the architectural designs of houses in Japan, China, and Korea, Philippines, Vietnam and other parts of Southeast Asia. Though temperature can climb up in Japan, China and Korea their old houses are made of wood and bamboo.
While in the Philippines weeds are even used for roofing and bamboo for flooring. These materials made their home feel cool on humid and warm days. However, at the other side of the world where the sun shine less the houses are made of more sturdy and thick materials like bricks of different types as well as blocks of stones and the newest discovery of a of the 19th century the cement and hallow blocks. In South and North America houses are built using different kind of stones. While in Europe houses are mostly built with large and hard types of stones. This is due to the cold weather they experienced all year round. That is why even during the early centuries house owners prefer to have stone wall on their homes rather than other materials, since it can have a unique and distinctive design and style of its own. It also shelters them from the cold air that blows form different direction. It even has a double purpose since a stone wall can absorb the heat from the sun. Because of its thickness and durability it has become the protection of its inhabitants during the war from invading enemies since it is not easy to penetrate because of its endurance to any kind of man made weapon.
The evidence of its durability can still be seen up to this modern day since most fortress that are built centuries ago are still in use and can be seen around Europe. Stone wall NJ maintenance free since weeds can not take refuge from its precipice due to the fact that there is no sustenance that can nurture any type of grass making it uninhabitable to any kind of living organism. Even without proper maintenance it can withstand the harsh climate of its environment. Because of stone wall NJ resiliency and dexterity from cold and hot weather it has been the best choice for Europeans to use it as their main materials for building their homes be it a single home or a castle.
